Team 7A - L. Hordges - Ms. Hordges has a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology and has been teaching
math for 6 years. In the private sector she served as a Manufacturing engineer.
Team 7B - E. Jordan - Ms Jordan is a third year teacher, certified in Mathematics and Music. Prior to
coming to Sandtown Middle School, she was a Systems Consultant/ IT Engineer. She received a B.A., in
Music; a Masters in Business Administration; and a M.S., Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute (RPI).

Mr Currie - Mr. Currie serves as Math Instructional Coach of Sandtown Middle School since January 2006.
Subsequently, he collaborates with public institutions of higher education as well as other agencies,
providing leadership to improve the quality of math eduction while serving in the capacity of Pre-AP
Consultant for College Board. Also he serves as a facilitator of mathematics for grades 6-12 within Fulton
County schools for the past eight years. Mr. Currie has held numerous leadership roles throughout his
teaching career: GED instructor, Literacy Coordinator, Faculty Assistant (Harris Stowe State College),
Technology Implementation Specialist, Staff Development Trainer, Math Contact, Leadership Team
member, Mentor, Teacher, and Expert teacher for Fulton County. Mr Currie received his B.A. from Morehouse
College.
